In our recent Payroll Giving poll we asked if you knew about the Payroll Giving scheme. A resounding 80% said that their employer had a scheme in place whilst 20% of those who responded said No, I wish I knew more.
Whilst it is fantastic to see so many already being aware or indeed having joined their employers scheme, the poll results show that we still have a way to go to include all employers in this fantastic way to support UK charities.
Currently over 10,000 organisations operate a scheme with over one million employees donating every payday, tax free to their chosen charity. Over £2billion has been raised since the scheme was established in 1987 but we would like everyone to have this opportunity.
The cost of living may be rising but the cost of payroll giving remains the most cost effective way to support your charity.
