What a month July has been. Record breaking temperatures, relaxation of restrictions and a fantastic response to our Selfless Selfie competition. The variety in the charities supported by our competition entrants highlight the very personal nature of Payroll Giving.
We are delighted to announce that our July winner is Joanne Weir from the Northern Ireland Civil Service. Joanne sent us this fabulous photo and shared the reason why she joined Payroll Giving.
Here’s her story:
“It is difficult for me to share a selfie as I have had a facial paralysis since 2005. This is why I support “Facial Palsy UK”, this is a young charity who are constantly in need of funding who have helped me so much since their formation. They provide practical help & advice & a supportive shoulder when times are tough. Facial paralysis has so many causes & affects a significant number of people in the UK annually. They have educated me so much on my condition & helped me seek the appropriate medical help. I am now being treated by the relevant professionals thanks to their help & I can think of no better charity.”
