Meet the team

Jo Wright, Joint CEO

How do you achieve success in your role?

I have worked in Payroll Giving since 1993, starting as a booking officer and working my way up to working on Business Development and then specialist Payroll Giving projects for charities. This has given me the base from which to develop the strongest, most hardworking teams I know and they, with guidance and team work, have built one of the largest, ethical and successful PFO’s.

What is the best advice you’ve ever received?

My Father was a brilliant business man and role model. He taught me how to treat people with dignity, honesty and respect. He also told me the only person who would ever stop me achieving in life was myself.

What do you love most about what you do?

The relationships we build and seeing people learn and love #PayrollGiving as much as I do.
Tell us a surprising or a fun fact about you.

I am dyslexic and find this sort of written exercise a challenge. I left school at 14 to manage my own Greengrocers selling produce from our family farm. I’m also a speed freak and ride a race horse.

The differing aspects of my work and the obvious end result, helping so many good causes.

Adore skiing but terrified of heights!!

Mandy Young – Corporate Development Manager

Using my creativity and empathic approach to providing effective solutions and engaging employee promotions.

What is the best advice you’ve ever received?

Success is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration.

What do you love most about what you do?

The endless variety of organisations and people I meet.   Developing new ideas and creating amazing promotion campaigns to support charities. I love the feeling when a plan comes together.

Tell us a surprising or a fun fact about you.  I was a radio show host for a local community radio station for 5 years with an international audience from as far away as New Zealand and the USA. .

Alice Wright – Operations Director

How do you achieve success in your role?

Being surrounded by team members with a wide array of skills, that compliment each other, from the creative to uber organised!

What is the best advice you’ve ever received?

Do not make a permanent decision on a temporary emotion.

What do you love most about what you do?

I had to narrow this down to two things! The huge social impact – payroll giving is changing and improving lives, environments, research and future policies and secondly, genuinely the people. I am privileged to work with some really inspiring and motivated people, from our staff, suppliers, charities and corporate partners.

Tell us a surprising or a fun fact about you.

I am absolutely terrified of heights I have tried to conquer this fear by climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Auckland Sky tower, the Rockefeller Centre and the Willis Tower in Chicago with no success – where shall I try next!
